- The 2022 Oscars are next weekend
- Meghan and Prince Harry could attend
- Are they revealing Best Picture?
For a while now, we've heard that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are invited to the 2022 Oscars. The award show is finally coming next weekend on March 27, and a rumour now has the royal couple in line for a big-time role on awards night.
Oscars 2022: Meghan and Harry to reveal Best Picture?
Apparently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be revealing this year's Best Picture winner — which is the biggest moment of the ceremony.
A new report from the Daily Mail claims Harry and Meghan "are being lined up to present the Best Picture Oscar." The newspaper notes they were approached with the offer late last year.
Supposedly, the royal couple was going to present Best Actress, but that would've been awkward because Kristen Stewart is nominated for portraying Harry's late mother in Spencer. The film is sympathetic to Princess Diana, but it's a rather unconventional and at-times shocking portrait of the royal.
But nothing appears to be confirmed just yet. Several award presenters have been announced already, including host Amy Schumer, but no word on who'll do Best Picture.

So it very well could be Harry and Meghan taking the stage to unveil 2022's best film. A few of the favourites are The Power of the Dog, the slow-burn Western drama, and CODA, the drama that explores life in a family affected by deafness.
The 2022 Oscars air live from Los Angeles next Sunday, March 27. We'll see if the divisive royal couple makes an appearance. They live in nearby Santa Barbara, California.
