Prince Harry is the second son of Prince Charles and Lady Diana (†36). He is the younger brother of Prince William and husband of Duchess Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. Prince Harry was called a party prince in his youth.
Prince Harry is, after Prince William, the second son of the British heir to the throne, Prince Charles. His parents divorced in 1996 after his father's cheating scandal shocked the palace.
Prince Harry's mother, Lady Diana, died in a car accident in 1997. He stood behind her coffin at the funeral with his brother. Prince Harry and Prince William were followed excessively by the paparazzi for years, while being out with their mother Lady Diana and also after her death.
Prince Harry went to the military just like his brother William. He trained as an officer at the Sandhurst Military Academy. Afterwards he was stationed in the south of Afghanistan and took part in missions. In June 2015, he announced the end of his career in the military.
In November of 2016, Prince Harry's relationship with US actress Meghan Markle was officially confirmed. The palace was forced to release an official statement because of the harsh treatment from the press towards Meghan.
In November of 2017 the engagement of Meghan and Harry was announced. They had a dream wedding in May of 2018. The ceremony took place at Windsor Castle, so there was no kiss on the balcony.
Prince Harry is now a proud father to his son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor with his wife, Duchess Meghan. Archie was born on May 6th, 2019.
In his youth Prince Harry was called a party prince by the tabloid press. He attended many parties and was not very royal-like in public. At the age of 17, Prince Harry also claimed to have smoked cannabis. At a costume party in 2005, Prince Harry wore a swastika armband as part of his costume.
Prince Harry cares for a lot of orphans who suffer HIV/AIDS. He founded the charity Sentebale, which means Don't forget me. His mother Lady Diana was previously involved in similar causes. In addition, Prince Harry and his brother organize the Invictus Games, where war wounded soldiers fight for medals in sports.
