Beloved Princess Diana's love is always present in the lives of her descendants. Prince William has continued a heartwarming tradition in honor of his late mother.
Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte's Mother's Day Card For Diana
The UK has just celebrated Mother's Day and Prince William shared his family's sweet tradition. Every year, his children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis make handmade cards for their late grandmother Princess Diana.
Kensington Palace shared photographs of young Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte's cards for Diana along with a powerful message. The photos were captioned with:
"This year Mother's Day will be different once again. Many of us will be apart from our loved ones, but looking forward to a time in the not too distant future when we can give our mother a hug again."
"But for those experiencing bereavement, today may be particularly challenging. Each year on Mother’s Day, George, Charlotte, and Louis make cards remembering their Granny, Diana, for William."
"Whatever your circumstances, we are thinking of you this Mother's Day."
At only 7 years old, George has impressive cursive handwriting and had a sweet message for "The People's Princess." He wrote, "Dear Granny Diana, Happy Happy mothers day. I love you very much and think of you always, Sending lots of Love from George xxxxx."
Princess Charlotte lovingly wrote "Dear Granny Diana. I am thinking of you on Mother's Day. I love you very much. Papa is missing you. Lots of love Charlotte xxxxxxxxx."
Little Prince Louis had a simple and adorable painted heart along with stickers and has his name written out.
Prince William was only 15 years old when he and his 12-year-old brother Prince Harry lost their mother Princess Diana in 1997. According to Hello!, Prince Harry also made sure to honour his mother and arranged for a bouquet of beautiful flowers to be laid at her grave on Sunday.
