- They attended Commonwealth Day in the rain
- William supported his wife with an umbrella
The rain was no match for the Royal Family this week. The royals braved dreary weather as they celebrated Commonwealth Day in London.
As they left the service, Duchess Kate marched straight out into the rain. But Prince William is scoring points for supporting his wife: he sprang into action with a surprise umbrella for her!
Prince William surprises Kate with an umbrella
Video of the moment shows Duchess Kate walking ahead into a downpour. A man quickly provides Prince William with an umbrella, and he swoops in to shield Kate. William then joins his wife in close under the umbrella.
Duchess Kate appeared thrilled by her husband's kind act. It might even remind royal fans of a similar moment involving Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. But the tables were turned: during a speech, Meghan held an umbrella over her and Harry.
