A survey shows who Britain’s most popular royals are. The result is somewhat surprising, because as the survey by YouGov indicates, Queen Elizabeth II has not topped the list. Instead, her grandson Prince Harry is ranked No. 1 and is therefore the most popular royal in the UK.
It is a bit unusual that as the head of the royal family the Queen did not manage to secure everyone’s heart. However, since his fairytale wedding to Meghan Markle, and thier recent exit from the royal family, Prince Harry has made non-stop headlines. In addition, his first official Royal Tour to Australia, Oceania and New Zealand may have increased his popularity.
These are the most popular British royals
Yet, the Queen does not need to be disappointed as she placed second close behind her grandson, with only a three percent difference, as Express reports. The two of them are closely followed by Prince William and Duchess Catherine. Prince Philip places fifth among the most popular royals, followed by Duchess Meghan, who is a few places behind her husband.
Prince Charles was definitely the loser of this poll. The heir to the throne only placed seventh in the survey. The top ten is completed by Princess Anne, Zara Phillips, and Duchess Camilla.
