Buckingham Palace reportedly didn't take kindly to Prince Harry's latest interview.
This weekend, royal aides spoke to Daily Mail about reaction at the Palace to the Duke's new podcast appearance. It wasn't well-received, to say the least, after Harry made headlines with remarks on royal parenting and "pain and suffering" in the family.
Palace reaction to Prince Harry's podcast interview
According to Daily Mail, Prince Harry's comments left the Palace "appalled," and they view his criticism of Prince Charles's parenting and upbringing as "shocking."
Apparently, there is even a "growing feeling" at the Palace that Harry and Meghan should surrender their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles. One source explained it to Daily Mail like this: "If you dislike the institution that much, you shouldn't have the titles."
But there's no official action being taken on the titles at this time. The report also added that senior royals felt Harry had a "woeful lack of compassion" in the interview.
On the Armchair Expert podcast, Prince Harry explained that as a parent he hopes to "break the cycle" of "pain and suffering" that has been passed down in the Royal Family.
Harry also seemed to comment on Prince Charles's upbringing and parenting when he said: "OK, so this is where he went to school. This is what happened. I know this bit about his life. I also know that's connected to his parents.
"So that means that he's treating me the way he was treated, which means, how can I change that for my own kids?" Harry then added that's he's had to move his family to the US to break away from this cycle.

Has Royal Family listened to Prince Harry's new interview?
It's unclear if the Royal Family has sat down and listened to the 90-minute podcast, on which Harry had appeared to talk mental health and his upcoming docuseries The Me You Can't See.
But, on Friday, a reporter did ask Prince Charles about his son's new interview while he attended an engagement in Wales. On official duty, the Prince of Wales ignored the question.
Nonetheless, royal insider Katie Nicholl has also revealed to ET that Harry's comments were likely "incredibly hurtful" to Prince Charles.
The latest round of conflict comes after Harry confirmed during his Oprah interview that relations with his father have been strained in recent years.
Prince Charles did reunite with his son at the funeral for Prince Philip last month, but time will have to tell if the new podcast becomes another setback for the father and son.
