Princess Eugenie has paid her respects following the death of her grandfather Prince Philip. Queen Elizabeth II's husband passed away on Friday last week at age 99.
Princess Eugenie mourns Prince Philip
Princess Eugenie, who recently became a mother for the first time, mourned her late grandfather in an Instagram tribute. "Dearest Grandpa, We all miss you," she wrote.
Eugenie goes on to say that Prince Philip would have been touched by all the tributes and honours he's received in the days following his passing. She then remembers laughing at Philip's jokes, his barbecuing skills, and listening to stories from his "spectacular life."
The Royal concluded her statement: "I will remember you in your children, your grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thank you for your dedication and love for us all and especially Granny, who we will look after for you. With all my love, Eugenie," she signed off.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank also honoured Prince Philip before his passing by giving their newborn son August the middle name Philip. The couple's first child was born on Feb. 9, two months to the day before the Duke of Edinburgh's death.
Eugenie's tribute came on the day the royals remembered Prince Philip as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and shared several never-before-seen pictures of him with his great-grandchildren.
