Eugenie wants her son to help make a positive change
Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed August last month, taking to social media to share photos of their new arrival as well as his name! Her mother Sarah Ferguson has also shown her excitement about becoming a "granny" for the first time in a special storytime video!
In her interview, Eugenie talked about how individual efforts can make a difference, sharing where she sees her son fitting into the picture in the grand scheme of things. "I think my child hopefully will be one of those people who will continue to see the world as a place that can be changed," she said.
Eugenie says her goal is for her son to "have hope"
Eugenie then went on to say that she wants to see humanity "continue to have hope," feeling encouraged by the prospect of a better world. "I hope that the world will be a place where my child can have hope," Eugenie explained, "and continue to know that they can make a big difference."
The royal then switched gears to discuss the issue of modern slavery, which is an issue she is extremely passionate about. She called it "a hidden crime," and also acknowledged that the COVID-19 pandemic has generated "a lot of momentum now towards people working together."
