Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla just gave fans a rare peek inside their home.
This week, Clarence House shared new photos from the Garden Room at the royal residence. Fans are loving the cozy and ornate room, but many couldn't help but notice a portrait of Prince Harry prominently on display.
Inside Clarence House: Prince Charles displays photo of Harry
Clarence House, the official home of Charles and Camilla, tweeted two photos from the room, one of which shows a table topped with decorative items and family pictures. Two are solo portraits of Prince William and Prince Harry.
The picture below on the right shows a teenage portrait of William. The one of Harry — seen more prominently in the front — is a military portrait of him as a young man. (You can also click here to enlarge the photo via Twitter.)
While it may not be shocking news that Prince Charles displays photos of his sons, royal watchers have previously observed interesting trends in the portraits royals choose to show inside their homes.
In that regard, the timing is interesting, as relations between Prince Charles and his son appear to be at an all-time low.
Prince Harry is just a few months removed from giving interviews where he criticized his father's parenting and admitted to feeling abandoned by him.
Harry also returned to the UK in July, but the father and son aren't thought to have reconnected during that homecoming.
So, could the new photo from Charles and Camilla's home hint at a reconciliation, or is it perhaps a subtle "olive branch" from father to son? Time will have to tell.
