Many royal fans are hoping Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will reunite with the Royal Family this Christmas. But could it be that Harry and Meghan will celebrate not with The Queen but with another royal?
The British newspaper Express says there is "mounting speculation" in the royal world that Harry and Meghan, joined by their kids Archie and Lili, may spend Christmas in the UK and stay with Princess Eugenie and her family.
Christmas 2021: Harry, Meghan and the Royal Family?
Harry is still very close to Eugenie despite moving to the US. And not only are the cousins good friends but also Meghan and Eugenie are known to get along very well.
Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank also have a lot in common with Harry and Meghan. They too recently became parents, as Eugenie had a baby boy just a few months ago.
Princess Eugenie's family also lives at Frogmore Cottage, the royal residence that formerly belonged to Harry and Meghan.
When Harry alone visited his homeland this year for the funeral of his grandfather Prince Philip and for the Princess Diana statue unveiling, he was also welcomed into the home of Eugenie, Jack, and their son August.
Princess Eugenie is one of the Sussexes' close royal allies, and Meghan even revealed in the Oprah interview that she was friends with Eugenie before she'd even met Harry.
Could Lilibet's baptism happen during a UK Christmas?
The countdown to Christmas is on. With two months to go, there is no official statement about the holiday-season plans of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who appear to be navigating several decisions at the moment.
They are also still undecided on their daughter Lilibet's baptism, which could happen in the US or the UK.
But a Christmas with the royals could include a christening ceremony for their daughter, too. We'll be watching how it all plays out.
