Expect to see The Batman in 2021
The Batman will star Robert Pattinson as "Batman," Paul Dano as "The Riddler," Zoë Kravitz as "Catwoman" and Farrell as "The Penguin." It will be directed by Matt Reeves, who is known for his work on Cloverfield and several of the recent Planet of the Apes films. In his Jimmy Kimmel Live! interview, Farrell noted that he will be putting on a few pounds to portray the famously portly "The Penguin" character.
As of now, it is believed that this entry in the "Batman" universe will proceed separately from the recent hit film, Joker, and Joaquin Phoenix's "Joker."
While you're waiting for The Batman
The Batman is still a ways away from hitting screens in 2021. But with an impressive cast and promising creative team behind the film, this is a film to keep on your radar. Until then, you can see Colin Farrell in The Gentlemen from director Guy Ritchie. The Gentlemen makes its North American debut this weekend.
