Jimmy Kimmel is an American actor, comedian and host, best known as the host and producer of ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! talk show, which premiered in January 2003.
James Christian Kimmel was born on November 13, 1967. Kimmel began his career working in radio, and although he had no intention of working in television and even turned down some offers, he later became part of the show Win Ben Stein's Money. Starting in 1999 Kimmel co-hosted and co-produced The Man Show; however, since 2003 he left the show to host his own late-night talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! which has gone on to become the longest-running late-night talk show in ABC history. The show has made Jimmy Kimmel an international household name. In it, Kimmel has had as guests celebrities such as Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Vin Diesel, Taylor Swift, George Clooney, Natalie Portman, or Barack Obama. In May 2019, Kimmel and ABC agreed to extend the contract to host the show until 2022.
Kimmel has been married twice. The first one took place in the late '80s, as in 1988 he married Gina Maddy, with whom he stayed for more than 10 years before the divorce came in 2002. Together with Gina, Jimmy had two children: Kevin and Katherine. Jimmy also had a relationship with actress and comedian Sarah Silverman; however, his second marriage was to television writer Molly McNearney, whom Kimmel married in 2013. In June 2014 Jimmy and Molly had their first daughter together: Jane Kimmel.
