90 Day Fiancé fans have been shocked by the recent episodes following Elizabeth Potthast and Andrei Castravet. Now that they are visiting Moldova to plan their wedding entirely on Elizabeth's fathers dime, Andrei has turned up his domineering and rude ways by ten.
90 Day Fiancé's Elizabeth and Andrei
Moldovan Andrei has turned his alpha-male attitude up one too many notches now that he is back in his home country. The main reason Andrei and Elizabeth's family fights is because Andrei demands to control every aspect of Elizabeth's life but refuses to work and expects Elizabeth to provide for their entire family. Andrei even convinced Elizabeth to beg her father to pay for their trip to Moldova and their second wedding there.
Now that the new parents are actually in Moldova, Andrei's nature has gone full throttle. He has been shouting at Elizabeth saying things like "You're f****** annoying, ****" and "You shut up. Don't f****** tell me to do this now." He even intentionally mistranslated his mother's words to Elizabeth when she asked if his mom gets tired from cooking lavish breakfasts. His mother said "Of course," but Andrei told Elizabeth "Mom says there is no room for tired," which sparked a fight when Andrei implied Elizabeth was lazy for not doing what his mother does. They fought because Libby works while Andrei does not but he still expects her to take care of the household and their baby.
Andrei's friends even called him out for this when they met up. His best friend Marcel said that since he moved to America he has changed because he used to be "a hard worker" and is not going "soft" by relying fully on his wife's family. His other friend even called him a "housewife" and that it was not right for him to refuse to work.
90 Day Fiancé's Elizabeth Converts For Andrei
Even though the pair have been arguing non-stop with Andrei constantly swearing and insulting Libby, she has agreed to be baptized to his religion that she could not even name. Andrei reminded her "It's called Christian Orthodox." Elizabeth explained "There are so many rules that follow a baptism. So you cannot wear makeup, you have to wear a headscarf, you have to be dressed in all white and this is all new to me. This is like, literally another world."
Elizabeth agreed to be baptized so they could marry in the church he wanted. She made it clear that she was nervous and was saddened that her sisters could not join the wedding because it was scheduled at such short notice.
Elizabeth is not the only 90 Day Fiancé cast member being pressured to convert in the newest seasons, she is just the only one who did. Brittany from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is being heavily pressured to convert to Islam for her fiancé Yazan but she boldly told Entertainment Tonight "I'm not gonna convert to any religion for anybody. I don't think that's a good idea for anybody. If you do it, it should be for God, not for a man."
Hopefully, the relationship grows for the better, we will have to wait and see in the next few episodes although the outlook is not so good because in the trailer for upcoming episodes we see Andrei threaten to fight Elizabeth's brother...
