90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way's Brittany and Her Divorce

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans have been loving the new wildcard couple Brittany and Yazan! The super bubbly, aspiring rapper, and body confident Brittany from Florida and gorgeous Jordanian Yazan could not be more different. Brittany is moving to Jordan to be with her fiancé who expects her to come divorced and ready to conform to the culture and convert to Islam.

Little does Yazan know that Brittany is still legally married to her ex-husband! We will see how the two go about handling the bombshell in the upcoming episodes. To the 90DF viewers, Brittany disclosed that her ex-husband was deported from the US only "three or four months" after they were married in 2015 but did not go into much detail about the reason behind his deportation.

In the meantime, Starcasm investigated her first husband to see why he was deported. It turns out, there were multiple reasons he was kicked out of the States. First of all, he was led to believe he was an American citizen like his siblings but in reality, his parents brought him from Haiti to the US when he was very young using his brother's passport.

That seems like something that could have been resolved but unfortunately, her ex had grown a lengthy criminal rap sheet which brought his citizenship status to the attention of ICE.

He had been arrested for driving without a license, marijuana possession, tampering with evidence, and evading police in 2011 and 2012. Then in 2014 he was found in possession of a plastic baggie with an absurd amount of Xanax pills and was charged with possession. A few months later he rear-ended a car and fled the scene and when police officers caught up with him he had 14.8 grams of meth, Molly, Xanax, and marijuana in his possession and gave the officers a fake ID. During this encounter, he was charged with 4 drug charges, resisting an officer, possession of a fake ID, and providing a false name.

Yikes! While on probation for his charges he was informed by ICE that deportation proceedings had been filed against him. Then in June of 2015, three months after marrying Brittany he was deported to Haiti. Brittany said she had no idea he was not legally a US citizen.

We'll have to wait and see if bold Brittany tells Yazan about her still legal marriage that she "forgot" to file divorce papers for. Fingers crossed for the beautiful young couple!
