President Donald Trump reacted to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's TIME 100 message in a White House press conference on Wednesday and said that he was "not a fan" of the Duchess of Sussex.

Trump on Meghan Markle: "Not a fan of hers..."

Donald Trump was asked to comment on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's involvement in the US election since the royal couple had made a statement in their most recent virtual appearance in the TIME 100 Most Influential People broadcast on September 22.

In their video message for the American people, the royal couple had encouraged everyone to vote on election day and said it was important "to build communities of compassion" as well as rejecting "hate speech, misinformation, and online negativity."

When asked the question what he thought of their message on the TIME 100 broadcast he said: "I'm not a fan of hers...and I would say this, and she probably has heard that, but I wish a lot of luck to Harry because he's going to need it."

While neither the royal couple nor POTUS mentioned the president's opponent Joe Biden by name, some have interpreted Harry and Meghan's comments as critical of Trump.

The Times actually contacted Buckingham Palace and asked for a statement but the palace said "no comment" and added the following: "The Duke is not a working member of the Royal Family and any comments he makes are made in a personal capacity."
