#1: Kate’s paternal grandfather was a co-pilot with William’s grandfather! Captain Peter Middleton was Prince Philip’s co-pilot on a two-month tour of South America in 1962. Fighter pilot Peter flew Mosquitos during World War II and he is calculated to have flown 5.5 million miles during his aviation career.
