• The Royals are anxious to relax in Balmoral
  • Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will not be present
  • Everyone is invited to Balmoral

A more relaxed time is finally beginning for the British royals with their retreat to Balmoral Castle in the summer. In the middle of the Scottish Highlands, the Royal family can take a break from their everyday lives and the public eye. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan were also invited, but declined – and according to the British media, did King Charles a favor.

Reconciliation: Not quite there yet

There is still an ice age between Prince Harry and his family, and reconciliation is not yet in sight. So it is not surprising that Harry and his family do not want to travel and that King Charles and Prince William are probably relieved about it.

Because on Balmoral, the royals want to sit back and enjoy peace and quiet instead of having family disputes. Charles, in particular, has had an exciting first year as King and can probably use the break the most. Additionally, Harry's presence could mean the absence of some other royal family members, such as his brother William.
