As 'Harper's Bazaar' reports, cozy family dinners are likely to be rare in the royal family. Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (6) are not allowed to sit at the table with their parents for official dinners. At those events (including Christmas), they sit at a children's table.
But why? Only when they have "learned the art of polite conversation", they are allowed to sit at their parents' table. This was also confirmed by the late Queen's former chef, Darren McGrady, according to the 'Mirror'.
