Charles and Camilla met for the first time in the '70s and had a brief relationship.
Eventually, in 1981 the then-Prince of Wales got married to Princess Diana, with whom he welcomed sons Prince William and Prince Harry. However, their marriage was marked by their incompatibility and age gap, as he was 13 years her senior.
It is now known that Charles started having an affair with Camilla in the mid '80s. In a 1994 interview with 'ITN', he admitted to committing adultery in his marriage to Lady Di.
Charles and Diana divorced in 1996. The following year she died in a terrible car crash.
