Royal Family Guilty Pleasures Revealed

The Royal Family may live decadent lives, but even they have guilty pleasures like the rest of us. From Queen Elizabeth II to Prince William and even Duchess Meghan, the royals have let slip their favourites, including food items, TV shows and music. Up first is Prince William, who is known to have something of a sweet tooth. In particular, the Duke of Cambridge is a chocolate lover, like so many of us. He requested a chocolate cake for his 2011 royal wedding, and the Duke has confessed to snacking on plenty of sweets during lockdown.

While Prince William favours chocolate, his wife Duchess Kate prefers a sticky toffee pudding, according to ex-royal chef Darren McGrady. But, for the main course, the Duchess of Cambridge told BBC One that her go-to takeout option is curry.

Queen Elizabeth II had a few habits that she still enjoyed to her final days. She was said to be a big fan of gin, and regularly drank gin and Dubbonet cocktails, dry gin martinis, as well as wine.

Prince Charles has been photographed dancing many times over the years. And it's no coincidence. In 2021, the Prince of Wales even confessed that a particular song always gave him the "irresistible urge" to disco dance: "Givin' Up, Givin' In" by Three Degrees.

On that note, Princess Eugenie is known to be a fan of R&B singer Beyoncé. The royal has been spotted in the crowd at "Queen B" shows several times over the years.

The Duchess of Sussex has let slip a few of her dining guilty pleasures. Meghan once revealed that she enjoys french fries, and she's known to be a connoisseur of wine.

Cheat day in the Sussex home comes with french fries and wine for Meghan... and for Prince Harry? Darren McGrady, the former royal chef, claims Harry is a dessert man and caramel banana cake is his top pick.

Like her grandson Prince William, the Queen was known to have a sweet tooth that can't do without chocolate. But her biggest guilty pleasure was a bit of an odd one: Kellogg's Special K cereal. That's according to her ex-chef Darren McGrady.

Prince William and Duchess Kate probably could've convinced any music artist to perform at their 2011 royal wedding, so it's pretty telling that they chose Ellie Goulding. They're big fans of the English singer!
