Queen Elizabeth II has reportedly made a decision on Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's remaining "royal" connections. On Monday, Daily Mail reported that the Queen will soon ask the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to "relinquish their links with any organisations passed down through the Royal Family."
Citing "royal sources," the outlet broke the story in the aftermath of a busy few days for Harry and Meghan, which included announcing they are expecting a second child and that they will soon join Oprah Winfrey for a tell-all TV interview.

Should the Queen make the request, Prince Harry could lose his three remaining honorary military titles, which, it was previously reported, he was "determined" to keep. For the Duke, five royal patronages are at risk, in addition to one held jointly with Prince William and one held jointly with his wife. In Meghan's case, there are four patronages on the line.
Prince Harry's honorary military titles are: Captain General of the Royal Marines, Honorary Air Commandant of RAF Honington, and Commodore-in-Chief, Small Ships and Diving, Royal Naval Command. Then, he alone is patron of The Rugby Football League, WellChild Charity, Rugby Football Union, The London Marathon, and Invictus Games Foundation.
Meanwhile, Duchess Meghan is patron of Mayhew Animal Welfare, Smart Works, The Association of Commonwealth Universities, and The National Theatre. The Duke and Duchess are then president and vice president of The Queen's Commonwealth Trust, while Prince Harry and Prince William are joint patrons of The Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund.

Though connecting the Queen's decision to the Oprah Winfrey interview announcement in their headline, Daily Mail did clarify that the "decision to strip the couple of their last remaining royal titles is not being done as a reaction to the interview."
But, for now, the monarch appears to have settled her side of her upcoming meeting with Prince Harry on his and Meghan's "royal" future. The Queen and her grandson are expected to meet face to face to negotiate next steps after the conclusion of the one-year review period on the March 2020 exit deal — and these remaining royal links are at the centre of the conversation.
This meeting would have happened in early 2021, but it will reportedly occur at a later, undetermined date due to ongoing travel restrictions.
