Robert Lacey seems to think that it's possible the Queen is looking for Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie to take up a more active role carrying out royal duties since Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have stepped down from senior working members of the royal family.
"Beatrice and Eugenie will now be brought forward"
"It’s quite clear that one of the consequences is that Beatrice and Eugenie will now be brought forward—if they’re willing to be brought forward. If two go out, two have got to come in, and those two have got to be Beatrice and Eugenie. I’m sure they will step forward and be greatly welcomed," Lacey said according to Hello!.
Adding that, "It's what the family needs as it's another 15 years before Prince George's generation steps up." The royal sisters are currently not in working royal roles however they do attend a handful of royal events each year.

It would be interesting however to see if Eugenie and Beatrice take on a more prominent role in the Royal Family, especially after their father, Prince Andrew, had to step back from his royal duties due to his connection with convicted and now deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
