Prince William, and his son Prince George, had something to celebrate on Sunday night as the Premier League's 19/20 season came to a close and the Duke's favorite team will remain in England's highest league for one more year.
Prince William was "never in doubt"
The Duke of Cambridge has been a fan of the Midlands club Aston Villa FC for a long time and as they managed to secure a 1:1 draw against West Ham United, he shared his excitement about the game via his and Duchess Catherine's official Twitter account.
After the game was over, Prince William along with Aston Villa fans across the U.K. had to be patient a little while longer to wait for the final score of the Watford game (who were relegated instead of Villa), but then it was clear that the club would stay in the Premier League. Shortly after, Prince William shared a video of the team's celebration!
He captioned it "Never in doubt" and added a grimacing emoji right behind it - what a finish to an exciting season for the Duke of Cambridge's favorite team! Prince William has actually passed his enthusiasm for sports on to his eldest son Prince George, whose official birthday picture from 2019 saw him posing in an England football jersey.
The little royal actually celebrated his seventh birthday last week and the royal family celebrated the day with a new portrait of George. Get all the latest royal news and updates right HERE!
