Prince William and Duchess Kate are cheering on the paralympic athletes who are about to compete! Tuesday marked the opening ceremony for this year's Paralympic Games in Tokyo, and the royal couple took to social media with a special message.
William and Kate excited to watch athletes' "talent and skill"
Prince William and Duchess Kate sent out well-wishes on both a local and global scale. "Wishing @ParalympicsGB and all the athletes from around the world the best of luck in this year's #Paralympics," the couple began their message. They also mentioned that they are excited to see the "talent and skill" exhibited by the Paralympians.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wrote a similar note to athletes earlier this month competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, joining several other royals in their well wishes. They are also known to actively champion British athletes, appearing at several important football matches during the Euro 2020.
William and Kate recently started their own YouTube channel, so perhaps they will share a video message in support of the Paralympics as well. There's also another member of the royal family who's a well-known Paralympics supporter— Prince Harry! Last year, Harry even appeared in a Netflix documentary about the sporting event.
