Prince Harry has made an appearance in a new Netflix documentary about the Paralympic Games! As Hello! reports, the brief clip of Harry in the trailer for Rising Phoenix came as a surprise, since his involvement in the project hadn't been previously announced!

Harry talks about the unique power of sport in clip

Harry is only seen for a moment in the Rising Phoenix trailer, but his message is an important one. "There isn't anything else in the world that can bring you back from the darkest of places than sport," the Duke of Sussex says while sitting on a leather green couch, wearing a khaki shirt and chinos.

As Hello! mentions, a spokesperson for Harry talked about the significance of the upcoming documentary. "The Duke is proud to have been one of the people who contributed to this film, which is a unique and powerful documentary that hopes to change the way people view disability – and tell the incredible story of the Paralympics."

Rising Phoenix is set to be released on Netflix on August 26. The documentary is directed by Peter Ettedgui and Ian Bonhôte, the team behind 2018's McQueenNotting Hill screenwriter Richard Curtis is also named as a producer!

Prince Harry attended the 2012 Paralympic Games

Harry has been a strong proponent of the importance of sport for years! In 2012, he became patron of the London Marathon Charitable trust, and also attended both the Olympics and Paralympics. He also founded the Invictus Games in 2014, which is dedicated to sport as part of the recovery process.

As Hello! describes it, the Games are "an international adaptive multi-sport event in which wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel and veterans participate." The event has taken place in several major cities around the world so far, including London, Toronto, and Sydney. The Hague and Düsseldorf have also been named as future host cities!

Prince Harry also made headlines recently after he and Meghan Markle bought a home in Santa Barbara, California. It's an exciting move for the couple, who have been living in Los Angeles for several months now with their son, Archie! We're also excited to see what else Harry talks about in Rising Phoenix!
