Prince Harry was born on September 15th, 1984 in London and baptized as Henry Charles Albert David on December 21st, 1984 at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. His official title is Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex and he is sixth in line to the throne.

In 1997, when Prince Harry was just 12 years old, his mother Princess Diana died in a tragic car accident in Paris. Harry and his brother were staying at Balmoral when the accident happened and Prince Charles told his sons about their mother's death. He walked behind the funeral cortège with his father, brother, Prince Philip, and Earl Spencer from Kensington Palace to Westminster Abbey.

Prince Harry is athletic and is a keen sportsman, playing various sports including competitive polo, which he plays regularly to raise money for charity. He is a talented skier and also enjoys motocross. He is also a big rugby fan and excelled at the sport at school.

After completing his education in 2003 he took a gap year working on a cattle ranch in Australia, as his father had done before him. In November 2003 he played in the Young England versus Young Australia Polo Test match, which was held near Sydney. He also traveled to Lesotho where he helped build a clinic for an orphanage for children suffering from AIDS. Whilst there he produced the documentary film "The Forgotten Kingdom" to help raise awareness of the plight of children suffering from the disease.

Prince Harry completed his officer training at Sandhurst Royal Military Academy in 2006. In 2008, after serving for two years, he was promoted to lieutenant.
