Prince Harry isn't holding back when it comes to the details of his grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip! In a new documentary honouring the late Prince, Harry reveals that the 73-year long marriage was a healthy one.
Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers has already been released in the U.K. The first look at the documentary for North America was released, but will officially be available to stream on Thursday on Discovery+.
A sweet look at a famous couple
Prince Harry is remembering his grandfather proudly in the new Discovery+ documentary and comments about his grandmother being lucky she had such a strong relationship for the 73 years she and Prince Philip were together.
"From my grandmother’s perspective," he said in the teaser trailer, "to have someone like that on your shoulder for 73 years of marriage doesn’t get better than that."
The Duke of Sussex then went on to say that despite appearing a certain way to the public, the two were truly meant to be, and shared they were "adorable."
"The two of them together were just the most adorable couple," he said, adding, "I don’t know if anyone’s ever described them as adorable, but to me, knowing the cheekiness of him and knowing that behind what the world sees, you have two individuals who were very much in love and both who, at a very young age, dedicated their life to service."
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip married on November 20, 1947. When Philip passed away earlier this year at the age of 99, Elizabeth remained by his side, a true testament of their love.
"The places that these two travelled, the things that they saw and the experiences that they went through, that is an incredible bond between two people," Harry added.
The documentary was meant to come out as Prince Philip's 100th birthday celebration but changed following his death as a love letter to the late Prince. The documentary will contain never-before-seen footage of the Royal family, as well as intimate interviews from Prince Charles, Prince William, Princess Anne, and Princess Eugenie.
