When his grandfather Prince Phillip passed away, Prince Harry immediately flew to the UK to support his family. This was a difficult move considering he had to leave his heavily pregnant wife and young son but Meghan was reportedly very supportive of him. Now it is clear she was also supporting her son's grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
Meghan Markle and Archie Talk To The Queen
Meghan Duchess of Sussex was unable to travel with her husband Prince Harry due to advice from her doctors. Meghan sadly lost a pregnancy over the summer so it was best to stay safely home with their almost 2-year-old son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.
According to People's source, "Meghan and Harry have been in touch every day. She knows the trip to England has been difficult for Harry. He didn't want to leave Meghan and Archie alone. Meghan has insisted to him every day though that they are fine. She hasn't wanted him to worry."
Meghan sent a beautiful and sentimental wreath with a handwritten note for Prince Philip's funeral. A source has just told People, "Meghan spoke with Harry before his grandfather's funeral. Meghan and Archie also spoke with the Queen."
Archie has said in an interview with James Corden that Archie is very talkative and his first word was "crocodile." The Duke even spoke about how much they keep in contact with his grandparents and their frequent Zoom calls with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
Prince Harry even told a loving fun story of how his late grandfather Prince Philip ends Zoom calls. "My grandfather, instead of, like pressing 'leave meeting', he just goes 'doof' [slamming laptop shut]. I'm like, OK, bye!" So the Royals have been in contact with the Sussex family in California.
Since the funeral, Prince Harry has returned to his wife's side in their Montecito home.
