An unannounced appearance pleasantly surprised many fans of the Royal family: two days after the Queen's death, William and Harry appeared together for the first time since 2020.
The two brothers, alongside Kate and Meghan, walked out to look at the flowers outside of Windsor Castle and to connect with their grieving fans. According to The Times, it was William who suggested that he and Harry should show up together in front of the castle.
Prince William approached Prince Harry after the Queen's death
The newspaper quoted a spokesman from the palace, and stated: "The Prince of Wales thought it was an important show of unity at an incredibly difficult time for the family."
An anonymous source also told The Daily Mail that William texted his younger brother on the day of, suggesting a specific time for their appearance together. Harry had previously agreed to William's idea.
