Gayle King is reflecting on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as she talks about having attended their royal wedding! As Entertainment Tonight reports, it's been two years since the couple got married in Windsor, and on Wednesday, King took a walk down memory lane with Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frasier. "I'll never forget it either," King shared in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight.
"The weather was perfect, she was gorgeous, they drove right by us on that balcony, we could see them, 'Hey, Harry and Meghan!' We had a great shot to see them." Frasier took to Instagram to share some photos from when he and King covered the unforgettable event and talk about the experience. "Two years ago today, one of my favorite assignments ever, broadcasting the #RoyalWedding with #GayleKing... I have known Gayle forever, but this was our first time working together and it was incredible," he said.
King says everyone "was so excited" about Harry and Meghan
King also talked about how she found it intriguing to see that people came from all over the world to be present at Harry and Meghan's royal wedding, attributing their investment to the couple's unique story. "It was interesting that people came from all over the world, certainly the United States for two people that they had never met and probably, let's be honest, will never meet," King said.
"But everybody was so excited about the story and for the two of them and for what was to come. It really was, you know, here is Meghan Markle who we know - American number one, biracial number two, and falling in love. ...We all as little girls dream of, one day my prince will come. Well, for her he really did come, he really did come and that was very exciting for all of us."

King denies Oprah's involvement in Harry and Meghan's home
King also shared her thoughts on Harry and Meghan's new life in Los Angeles post-"Megxit," expressing how overjoyed she is for the couple. "They've got a little baby, Archie, they're living in the United States, and I think the fairy tale continues for them and it just makes me happy," she told Entertainment Tonight.
She also denied the claims that her best friend Oprah Winfrey had put Harry and Meghan in touch with actor Tyler Perry, whose Beverly Hills mansion they are now living in. "Oprah didn't hook that up. Harry and Meghan know people," King affirmed. "Tyler knows people. Oprah knows people but she did not make that connection for Harry and Meghan to live in Tyler's house."
Harry and Meghan's anniversary wasn't the only thing that King celebrated on CBS This Morning on Wednesday, as it also marked the one year anniversary of her co-hosts Anthony Mason and Tony Dokoupil joining her at the desk! The occasion was marked with cake and a fun highlight reel, which CBS This Morning shared a video of on social media.
