It's been a busy few days for Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. On Sunday, the couple announced they're expecting their second child together and followed that up with news that they'll soon be guests of Oprah Winfrey for an exclusive interview.
Harry and Meghan's Oprah interview: All questions are allowed
Broadcaster Gayle King is the best friend of Winfrey, and she has now revealed some details to CBS regarding the upcoming interview. She explains that "nothing is off limits" for Oprah's discussion with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
It seems that the American talk show legend will have her pick when it comes to questions for Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan—no matter how touchy the topic. As King announced, Oprah had been preparing for the interview all weekend.
First, Oprah will talk to the Duchess of Sussex. Among other things, she's expected to address Meghan's entry into royal life, the royal wedding, motherhood, and life under intense public scrutiny.
After that, Prince Harry will join his wife to answer questions on the couple's move to the United States. In addition, the interview should give insights into the hopes and dreams for the future of the growing family.
Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace has also commented on the interview. In a statement, they said that Meghan and Harry did not need to inform the Queen in advance because they are no longer working members of the Royal Family. In spite of this, reports also say that the Sussexes will be mindful "not to upset" the Queen with anything in the interview.
So, viewers will be watching closely for which questions Oprah chooses and if Harry and Meghan willingly answer them all. In North America, the exclusive CBS interview will air on March 7. It's titled: Oprah with Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special.
Since news of the interview broke, eyes have been on the expecting parents even more, as reports say the Queen is expected to soon request that they "relinquish" remaining connections obtained through the Royal Family. Harry is said to be "upset" about the decision.
