Duchess Catherine (36) and Prince William (36) were allowed to fully relax and recover from the many appointments this summer. The royals have once again chosen the Caribbean island of Mustique, which the couple has visited several times before already. However, this summer holiday was very different for the family compared to the previous ones.
The first holidays for five for Duchess Catherine's family
This year, the royal family went on holiday for the first time being five of them. For Prince Louis (4 months) it was the very first holiday ever and Duchess Catherine and Prince William could certainly enjoy the time with their three children. However, Prince George (5) certainly also ensured these holidays to be different.
Since Prince George goes to school by now, the royals had to travel to Mustique later than usual. The Duchess and Prince William usually spend January in the Caribbean, but this year they had to take Prince George's school holidays for the trip. At the beginning of Prince George's new school year the family had to return - just as any other family would have to as well.
The rest of the summer holidays went as usual for the royal family though. A few days ago Duchess Catherine, Prince William and the children traveled to Balmoral to visit Queen Elizabeth II (92) at her summer residence.
