Welsh corgis have always been the Queen's favourite breed of dog. During her reign, Elizabeth has owned more than 30 corgis. The Queen's fondness for corgis was probably born when she was given one to look after for her fourteenth birthday in 1944. Holly and Willow were the Queen's final two corgis, but both passed in recent years. She now also has just one Dorgi left, Candy, after Vulcan died in 2020.
