'NCIS': Through The Years With The Cast

Any kind of crime, you name it, they've got it under control! The cast of NCIS has been taking care of business for almost 16 years! Let's take a closer look at some of our favorite characters, shall we? 

Cote de Pablo plays the role of former Israeli Special officer "Ziva David". Starting off as a guest on the team, she quickly rose through the ranks and became a special agent at NCIS. Her character has one of the more complicated backstories. Her father former is Mossad director "Eli David" and her half sister is terrorist "Ari Haswari".

Cote de Pablo starred in the series NCIS from 2005 until her series death in 2013. Since then she has been seen in several different production including The Dovekeepers (2015) and Prototype (2016). Cote is currently producing the TV series MIA alongside former co-star Michael Weatherly. 

Mark Harmon plays the role of "Leroy Jethro Gibbs" in the hit TV series NCIS. Being a former Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marin Corps, "Gibbs" seem to be the perfect fit as the leader of the NCIS Major Case response team. 

Mark Harmon has been a part of the NCIS cast since 2003. In 2021, he announced his retirement from the franchise. Alongside his role in the hit crime series, he has also been able to star in American Princess and Weather Girl. He has also been working as the executive producer of NCIS: New Orleans since 2014. Harmon has been married to Pam Dawber since 1987 with whom he has two children: Sean Thomas Harmon and Ty Christian Harmon. Unlike his father, his children tend to keep a lower profile. 

Michael Weatherly plays the role of "Anthony DiNozzo Junior" in the series NCIS. Before eventually becoming a senior officer at NCIS, "DiNozzo" was an officer at the Baltimore PD who, after discovering that his partner was a dirty cop, quickly transferred to NCIS. With his lovely sense of humor, "DiNozzo" has been a series highlight for years! 

Like many of the characters in NCIS, Michael has also appeared in almost all of the series spin-offs including NCIS: New Orleans and NCIS: Los Angeles. He is currently starring in the series Bull where he plays the leading role of "Dr. Jason Bull". Weatherly is currently married to internist Dr. Bojana Jankovic with whom he has he has two children. He currently resides in Manhattan, New York. 

"Leon Vance", a.k.a Rocky Carroll,  is the current NCIS director who was officially given the position after "Jennifer Shepard's" sudden death. Rocky himself has been largely involved with the series franchise of the years starring in spin-off series like NCIS: Las Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans and 48 Hours: NCIS. He has also been working as a voice actor over the past few years starring in movies like The Reign of Superman and The Death of Superman. 

"Abigail 'Abby' Sciuto", a.k.a Pauley Perrette, is the chief forensic scientist at "NCIS Major Case Response Team". With her quirky and upbeat personality, which weirdly contradicts her somewhat Gothic style, she was been a fan favorite from the beginning of the series until 2018. Pauley Perrette herself has been a part of both NCIS spin-offs as well as a few other productions including 24 and When We Rise. She will be starring in a new sitcom, Broke. 

"Donald 'Ducky' Mallard" is the Scottish-born and raised former official medical examiner for the NCIS Major Case Response Team. "Ducky" is not only a master in the autopsy room, he is also a whiz when it comes to psychological profiling which comes quite in handy when solving some of the team's major cases. David McCallum himself has been a major part of television since the 60's. Nowadays, he works as a voice actor for shows and movies like Ben 10, Batman Vs. Robin, Son of Batman and Batman: Gotham Knight.
