Lady Diana and Prince Charles' wedding was the major royal event in the eighties! Diana's wedding dress also went down in history— she walked to the altar in this creation by British designer Elizabeth Emanuel.

Back then, Diana's robe cost "only" 9,000 pounds. Today, the pompous dress would be worth at least 80,000 pounds— roughly the equivalent of around 92,000 euros!

Did you know that Duchess Kate also used Grace Kelly as a model when choosing her wedding dress? On April 29, 2011, Kate married Prince William, becoming known as a duchess. With the close-fitting cut, long sleeves and lots of lace, Kate's dress is very similar to Grace Kelly's.

Duchess Kate's beautiful dress was designed by Alexander McQueen's chief designer Sarah Burton. It is said to have cost 250,000 pounds— the equivalent of around 270,000 euros. And since a total of 58 small buttons are attached to the back of the robe, it must have taken a while for Kate to put the dress on!

On May 19, 2018, Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry stepped in front of the altar as they got married at Windsor Castle. Like Grace Kelly, actress Meghan Markle became a royal. In contrast to Kelly though, Meghan kept it simple when choosing her wedding dress.

Supermodel Kate Moss married musician Jamie Hince in July 2011. Moss went for the vintage look and wore a champagne-colored wedding dress with embroidery and rhinestones. Her gown comes from fashion designer John Galliano, who is a good friend of the model.

Duchess Meghan did without embroidery and tulle, instead opting for simple elegance. Her long dress was designed by Givenchy designer Clare Waight Keller, and is said to be worth 230,000 euros! The veil is about five meters long.
