Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale are still super close after all these years!

As People reports, Hudgens took to Instagram to wish Tisdale happy birthday on Thursday. In her caption, she reflected on some fun times they've shared, and even mentioned that the besties have been renovating their houses together!

Hudgens says her friendship with Tisdale "took off" after they met

Hudgens and Tisdale actually knew each other years before starring in the High School Musical movies together! "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY OG BESTIE @ashleytisdale," Hudgens began her post. "ash and I started from the bottom now we here!!! Lol but for real tho. We met on a commercial audition and our friendship took off."

Hudgens went on to talk about some of the fun memories she and Tisdale have shared, and how their friendship has evolved as they've matured.

"Next to high school musical, to touring the world, to shopping ALOT, to basketball games and a lot of rose," she said. "Now in our adulthood we busy helping each other decorate and renovate our houses."

"Lol so happy I have your fun loving spirit by my side in all walks of life," Hudgens ended her post. "I love u ash. Always n forever happy birthday bby."

Tisdale makes Instagram birthday post of her own: "This is 35!!"

Tisdale showed her love for Hudgens in the comments of her bestie's post. "love you best friend," she wrote, followed by several double heart emojis. As People mentions, Tisdale has recently been working on her music, having released new single "Lemons."

Tisdale also made a birthday post herself, sharing a series of photos that showed her wearing a long, flowing yellow and red dress. "This is 35!!" Tisdale captioned the pics.

She included the hashtags "#wearamask" and "#savelives," urging her Instagram followers to stay safe in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

Tisdale and Hudgens shared joint High School Musical TikTok

Tisdale and Hudgens came together in March for a special video! As People shares, the collaboration started when Tisdale shared a video on Instagram and TikTok of her doing the dance to "We're All In This Together" from High School Musical.

"If you need to work out while on #selfquarantine try this," she captioned the fun clip. "hopefully this will brighten your day a little!" Tisdale— who played "Sharpay Evans" in the High School Musical franchise— was then joined by Hudgens, who played "Gabriella Montez"!

However, Hudgens took a slightly different approach in her Instagram video. Instead of doing the choreography herself, she sang along to the song while pouring herself a glass of wine! "Well. It’s come to this," Hudgens wrote. "Lol @ashleytisdale maybe I start getting into tik tok?"
