Nikki Blonsky is coming out, and she wants the world to know!

As Entertainment Tonight reports, Blonsky— who became a breakout star for playing the lead role of "Tracy Turnblad" in the 2007 musical movie Hairspray— posted a video on TikTok on Sunday announcing that she's gay!

Blonsky dances to Diana Ross and references meme in her TikTok

Blonsky can be seen dancing and lip syncing to Diana Ross' iconic song "I'm Coming Out" in her video, where she begins laying in the grass before jamming out in her backyard. "Hi, it's Nikki Blonsky from the movie I'm Gay! #pride #imcomingout #hairspray," she captioned the TikTok.

As Entertainment Tonight mentions, her caption references the infamous internet meme that stemmed from Blonsky constantly referring to herself as "Nikki Blonsky from the movie Hairspray". Blonsky received a Golden Globe nomination in 2008 for her performance in Hairspray, which has been her most notable role to date.

June also happens to be known as Pride month for the LGBTQ+ community, so Blonsky certainly knew what she was doing when it came to the timing of her announcement!

Blonsky said last year she's "the happiest" in current relationship

Blonsky shared with E! News last year that she was in a relationship. "I am the happiest I've ever been in my current relationship," Blonsky had said at the time. "[I] am excited for the future, both personally and professionally."

The Hairspray star also told Page Six back in 2017 that she had joined online dating site Tinder. "I was like, 'You know what, I'm back in New York, maybe I'll inspire some straight guys to come out to the show,' and now I’m like, 'Oh my God,'" she said to the outlet.

"Their first approach with me is either they don't know who I am at all and they're like, 'I like curvy women,' or they'll be like, 'You look kind of familiar, are you that girl?'" Blonsky continued. "It takes them a little while to realize that yes I am [that girl] and I have sexual needs and pleasures."
