- Aaron Taylor-Johnson is an renowned English actor
- He is now rumored to be the next "James Bond"
- THIS is what he had to say
Ever since Daniel Craig announced that he taking his last step as "James Bond", everyone has been wondering how he is going to be replaced...and by whom. And now, actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson is dodging reports that he's a prime candidate to play the next James Bond, which would be a huge role for his career. Right now he is enjoying a very good moment in his life, both personally and professionally, and he has recently sat down with 'Esquire' about his current project 'Kraven the Hunter' and potential future prospects.
Could Aaron be the next "007"?
Aaron knows how to play the press. The actor stressed that his main focus is on releasing his new action film whenever he was pressed about the "Bond" rumors. Here is what he had to say: "As I’ve already told you, I have to go by the beat of my own drum." What about playing the main role of "James Bond." After all, it's one of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema. "It’s my own path, what feels intuitive to me. I’ve never made a decision based on other people’s perspectives, or their judgments, or their expectations."
Also interesting:
Taylor-Johnson has been centered in all the major conversations around "007" since Daniel Craig officially wrapped his tenure on the franchise in 2021's 'No Time to Die'. Aaron has always fit the bill for the characters, and seems like a natural placeholder for the position. But at the moment, the actor, went on to tell 'Esquire' that he feels a need to "understand what is integral to you and what feels right, and you’ve got to stay on track with what’s present in front of you. Kraven is what’s in front of me," he added.
So that kind of leaves everything back at square one. After all, he didn't say he wouldn't be playing "Bond" ever! "“It’s not really for me to say anything. I’ve spent two years making Kraven. So all that hard work we put into trying to get that to where it is— that’s where I’m at right now," says Taylor-Johnson.
Actors like Idris Elba has also been touted for the role, so we'll have to wait and see which actor ends up donning the iconic suit in the next installment!
