Britney Spears has made it clear she doesn't plan to tour in the future! On Monday, Spears made an Instagram post that addressed all kinds of topics, including why she has no desire to get out on the road again to perform her songs.
Spears admits she eventually "hated" touring
Spears' comments on touring came later on in her lengthy post, as she talked about the good and bad sides of her experience of it. "I know I'm not playing in huge arenas with my loud band anymore but I will be honest and say life on the road is hard," she shared. She said that while she enjoyed touring during her "first three years in the biz," things changed right after that.
"I don't think I ever want to do it again," the star said, saying she "hated" touring later on in her career. The singer of hits like "Circus" and "...Baby One More Time" also referenced an interview that saw Will Smith compare the music industry to the film industry. She said that she agreed with what he said about it being "a whole different animal," calling it "too much" for her.
Spears also revealed that she "never spoke to anyone for a very long time" after her breakup with Justin Timberlake, expressing how upsetting it was to be forced into an interview days later. Now that her years-long conservatorship is over, Spears is able to handle her own financial matters. She concluded the note by saying she "felt so independent" using cash to buy "chocolate, Christmas socks, and a bottle of white wine" for herself, and sent holiday wishes to her fans.
