Bindi Irwin is getting closer to her due date, and she's shared another photo of her baby bump! The wildlife conservationist took to social media on Tuesday to give an update on her pregnancy, which naturally included a cute comparison to the animal world!
Irwin compares size of her baby to type of lizard
Irwin shared a picture on Instagram of her looking down at her baby bump, cradling it while wearing a long black top and jeans. "I thought I’d share a bumpdate with you," Irwin wrote alongside the photo. Thank you for your lovely comments and support on this remarkable journey."
"Now that I’m 26 weeks pregnant, our daughter is about the same size as a shingleback lizard," she continued. "Swipe across to meet Pinecone the shingleback lizard who I think is really excited about that." The next photos showed an enthusiastic Irwin smiling while holding the lizard, as well as a zoomed-in shot of Pinecone!
Irwin shows appreciation to her "extraordinary husband"
Irwin also gave a shoutout to her husband, Chandler Powell, tagging him in an additional comment she made alongside her post! "Thank you for for being the most extraordinary husband and soon-to-be dad," she wrote. "Baby and I both love you beyond words."
Powell and Irwin married earlier this year in an intimate ceremony at the Australia Zoo. In August, they announced that they were expecting their first child together, revealing the gender of their baby in a sweet way! Last month, Irwin also shared a video from her ultrasound appointment. Here's hoping that the rest of Irwin's pregnancy goes smoothly!
