Sam Heughan (42) auditioned for the coveted role of "James Bond" - a part that eventually went to Daniel Craig (54) with the first film Casino Royale in 2006.
Yet the 42-year-old Outlander star is still wondering what his life would have been like had he landed the role. "It was a stage in my life where I probably wasn’t ready for it," the actor told EW.

Craig has since retired from the role after he was in his fifth movie No Time To Die. Sam Heughan, however, would like to be considered again.

"Maybe I’m too old now. I know that they’ve been talking about making him younger. I feel like that’s where they’re gonna go, but who knows what’s in their mind," Sam continued to EW.
