Daniel Craig took on the role of "James Bond" for the last time in the 2021 film No Time to Die. After a total of five movies, the British actor is finished as the secret agent. Since then, there has been endless speculation about who will be the next "James Bond."
Bond producer gives update on new "007" actor
Barbara Broccoli, the producer of the film series, just told Deadline how the search for the next "007" actor is going. Right away, she clarified that it should be another two years before the new "James Bond" movie starts filming.
In addition, they are working on reinventing the role of "Bond," which has delayed the casting process. Broccoli said: "We're working out where to go with him, we're talking that through."

So far, there is no script or concept. Nor has a successor for Daniel Craig been found as of yet. "We're reinventing who he is and that takes time," the producer added.
But the fans are already fiercely debating several well-known names, including Idris Elba, Regé-Jean Page, Henry Cavill and Tom Hardy.
