Fans of AMC's The Walking Dead currently await news on season 10 of the show - which was paused with only its finale episode still to air! The episode was filmed back in November 2019, but its post-production was unable to finish prior to limitations imposed by the coronavirus outbreak.
Since then, the show provided a special preview of that finale episode in early April. But now, we also have inside word from star Jeffrey Dean Morgan on when we could potentially see the finale - and when season 11 could get underway.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan on The Walking Dead season 10 finale
Morgan, who portrays the antagonist "Negan," spoke to Entertainment Weekly about seasons 10 and 11 of The Walking Dead.
Of that season 10 finale episode, Morgan said, "We had fun filming it, I'll tell you that. But I do not know when they're going to finish it."
"I reckon four or five months from now we'll get to see it," he went on. "It will be cool having a one off, almost a Walking Dead movie in the middle of the season, I guess. So we're excited about that aspect of it."
The 54-year-old actor also got a bit more specific on what to expect from the finale episode.
"I think obviously things are going to come to some sort of a head with the Beta and his character. There has to be some sort of a resolution. Whether that carries over to next season, I'll leave that open, because who knows."
"Greg Nicotero directed it, so it’s going to be a big massive episode for sure," he concluded. In case you missed it, you can watch the preview for the "massive" finale below.

The Walking Dead season 11
The Walking Dead season 11, likewise, is shrouded in uncertainty due to COVID-19. In his interview, Morgan expressed his disappointment at this reality.
"Who knows when we go back to work," he said. "I certainly don't know when production is going to start again on The Walking Dead. When we’re going to see season 11 of The Walking Dead is such a f---ing mystery right now. It’s just a big question mark."
Morgan joined the show in season 7 back in 2016. His "Negan," a Walking Dead legend, is an ambivalently popular villain on the show. We hope to see him back in that finale sometime soon and season 11 at a later date!
