The Princess Bride is coming to the Disney+ streaming service - and soon! The beloved 1987 adventure movie hits the platform on May 1.
But Disney+ had another surprise for fans of the memorable and quotable movie: A new message from The Princess Bride stars Robin Wright and Cary Elwes.

Elwes, who played "Westley," and Wright, who played "Buttercup," are seen in the video on a split-screen video call. The old friends have a laugh before they announce the news about their movie.
"If I was stuck in front of my TV, I could think of some real fun things to watch like that Princess Bride movie we made together," Elwes says.
"Hmm, is that on again?" Wright responds. Elwes then breaks the news: "On Disney+ starting May 1."
There's also an "As you wish" reference thrown in for good measure toward the end.

The Princess Bride: Streaming on Disney+ soon
Wright and Elwes are among the great cast of The Princess Bride, which also included Walter Shawn, Mandy Patinkin, Andre The Giant, Christopher Guest, and Billy Crystal.
Rob Reiner directed the film, which was based on William Goldman's 1973 novel of the same title.
Disney+ had announced its new addition for May last week, but The Princess Bride wasn't on the list at that time. So it seems that this was an even more recent development.
Whether you're a long-time fan of the movie or perhaps checking it out for the first time, you can stream The Princess Bride on Disney+ beginning next month! It's available on Disney+ on May 1.
