The Most Memorable TV Show Weddings Of All Time

They're THE couple in How I Met Your Mother. "Marshall" and "Lily," played by Jason Segel and Alyson Hannigan, have been together since college, but shortly before their wedding, "Lily" leaves her fiancé and goes to live in San Francisco. She deeply regrets her decision, and so she returns and begs "Marshall" to forgive her. They get married in front of their friends first, before getting married in front of their families again.

"Robin" and "Barney," played by Cobie Smulders and Neil Patrick Harris, also get married in the series. After an awful lot of "will-they-won't-they" and a very romantic marriage proposal, the two finally do make it to the altar— and of course, look great doing so...

In Full House, "Becky" (Lori Loughlin) is "Danny's" (Bob Saget) co-anchor and it is through him that she meets his brother-in-law "Jesse" (John Stamos). She does not want to admit that she has feelings for "Jesse" at the beginning, but they finally become a couple and get engaged. Their first wedding doesn't go as planned, but two seasons later, on Valentine's Day, they get married in a beautiful ceremony. They then move in together and have twins. The dress that "Becky" is wearing here is Loughlin's actual real life wedding dress, by the way!

Throughout the course of Grey's Anatomy, some of our favorite characters have exchanged vows. Cancer-stricken "Izzie" (Katherine Heigl) plans "Meredith" (Ellen Pompeo) and "Derek's" (Patrick Dempsey) wedding, only for the tables to be completely turned and for "Alex" (Justin Chambers) to meet her at the altar! An incredibly moving episode! The couple gets married in front of friends and family before the severely ill doctor has to fight for her life with renewed vigor.

We will also never forget "Bailey" (Chandra Wilson) and "Ben Warren's" (Jason George) Christmas wedding. While "Ben" is anxiously waiting for his bride to arrive, she turns around on the way to the church, as "Dr. Webber's" (James Pickens Jr.) wife "Adele" (Loretta Devine) has been admitted to the Seattle Grace Hospital. As "Bailey's" full attention is on the well-being of her patient, she even forgets her own wedding! With an extremely guilty conscience, she rushes to the church several hours late, where, luckily, "Ben" is still waiting and the couple can still exchange vows.

In Two and a Half Men, "Walden" (Ashton Kutcher) has a near-death experience, which results in him going through an existential crisis during which he decides to adopt a child. Since this is almost impossible for a single man to do, he asks his best friend and roommate "Allan" (Jon Cryer) to marry him. The two are married in a small registry office and "Walden" even declares his love for "Allan" in a heartwarming fashion.

"Monica" (Courteney Cox) and "Chandler" (Matthew Perry) meet through mutual friends and eventually fall in love. To begin with, the couple keeps their relationship a secret, but then end up wanting to get married on a group trip to Las Vegas. When "Ross" (David Schwimmer) and "Rachel" (Jennifer Aniston) beat them to it, they decide to move in together first. Their relationship is put to the test just a short while later, but they come out stronger than before and get married in a beautiful ceremony.

In the cult TV series Brothers & Sisters, "Kitty" (Calista Flockhart) takes on the role of the PR director for Presidential candidate "Robert" (Rob Lowe). The couple falls in love and even get engaged. When "Kitty" becomes pregnant, they set a date for the wedding so as to avoid any kind of political scandal. But for the show's fans, it was clear that this was going to be a very stressful wedding, as the bride's family contained an abundance of difficult characters. As well as this, the couple receives threats from a blackmailer. In the end, however, all goes well and the two promise to love each other until death do they part.

In Scrubs, Donald Faison as "Turk" and Judy Reyes as "Carla" are in a relationship from the beginning of the series and get married at the end of the third season. "Carla's" mother dies while the couple is planning their wedding. Overwhelmed by her emotions, "Carla" decides to marry her boyfriend "Turk" as quickly as possible in a small chapel in the hospital.

Everyone knows this love story. "The Nanny" (Fran Drescher) is in love with her boss "Maxwell Sheffield" (Charles Shaughnessy) from the very first episode of the series, but never has the courage to tell him. Again and again, audiences think the two might finally get together, which, luckily, they do in the end!
