The talented star behind our leading lady is American actress Rachel Brosnahan! You may also recognize her from Netflix's House of Cards where she plays former prostitute "Rachel Posner" and you can most recently catch her in 2020 Benedict Cumberbatch drama The Courier. Fun fact: Rachel is the late designer, Kate Spade's niece!

As the no-nonsense manager of The Gaslight, "Susie Myerson" is one of the first to recognize "Miriam's" unique talent! She may be small, but she has a fierce personality that makes her a loyal friend and top-notch manager to "Miriam"!

The show wouldn't be the same without the talent of Alex Borstein, but ironically the star almost didn't take the part of "Susie Myerson"! With an impressive resume, Alex Borstein is no stranger to the spotlight having starred in The Lizzie McGuire movie, Gilmore Girls, and hit sitcom Family Guy! After the cancellation of comedy series Getting On, Alex Borstein was left devastated and was ready to retire from acting! Lucky for us, she decided to take on the part of "Susie" and the series truly would not be the same without her!

"Joel Maisel" is a character we hate to love! While he may not have made the best husband to "Miriam", "Joel" does fare better as her friend and father to their son "Ethan", leaving fans cheering for him at times. We do feel for him, it has to be difficult to watch your ex-wife excel at something you always dreamed of doing, but he learns to deal with the jealousy in the end and becomes one of "Midge's" biggest fans! 

Before he became "Joel Maisel", American actor Michael Zegen had smaller roles on a number of television series including Rescue Me, Boardwalk Empire, How to Make It In America, and The Walking Dead. While he plays a cheating husband on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, the 41-year-old has never been married, but is a wonderful uncle to his many nieces and nephews!

While she can be overbearing at times, "Rose Weissman" only wants the best for her daughter "Miriam". Fashion-forward, "Rose" is very superstitious, often visiting a fortune teller to help her anticipate what might happen next! Despite her quirks, "Rose" is a great wife, mother, and grandmother! 

Just as beautiful in real life, you would never guess that Tanzanian-American actress Marin Hinkle is 54 already! Before landing the part of "Rose Weissman", Marin was already famous for her role of "Judy Brooks" on ABC drama Once and Again and as "Judith Harper-Melnick" on Two and a Half Men.

While he can be over critical and quick to judge, his quirky personality is what makes "Abe Weissman" so lovable! A protective and loving father to "Miriam", throughout the series "Abe" goes through a life crisis of his own, giving up his dream job in favor of his morals!
