Hello Bachelor Nation! Welcome back to The Bachelorette week 2 recap featuring famous Queens, roller skates and early "I love you's". Hannah Brown is settling into her role as the 2019 Bachelorette and we can tell that she's feeling more comfortable around the guys. This week, there were two group dates, a one-on-one date and of course, a cocktail party.
Group Date Number One
For her first group date, 8 men were brought to an empty auditorium where a trio of amazing drag Queens (Alyssa Edwards and Alaska from RuPaul's Drag Race, and Miss J from America's Next Top Model) are there to act as a panel of judges in what they call the "Mr. Right Pageant". This contest consists of a talent competition and a Speedo portion, of course.
"Starting to fall in love with you"
Let's just say that the men deliver in all aspects of the competition, if you know what we mean... One that stands out particular when he has the mic and is talking to Hannah, is Luke P. He might have dropped the "L Word" in front of everyone literally 48 hours after he met Hannah. Awkward much? The judges however thought it was very bold of him and Luke P. was crowned "Mr. Right". It was ultimately Jed who won the night though, receiving the group date rose and we were very pleased about that.
The one-on-one date was your typical first date with Tyler G. who didn't really stand out to us much. He did receive the rose and that's about all you need to know about that date. The second group date had the men on roller skates at a roller derby arena. The men were split into teams and basically had to knock each other out... Fun! There was some drama after the roller derby but ultimately Dustin got the group date rose.
Quite the cocktail party
The cocktail party was quite the steamy one with all the men trying to steal Hannah away and Luke P. even opting to give her a massage. Let's just say when that chat got interrupted by Jed, things got a little awkward. All in all we can expect things to get crazier as the weeks progress and as the men start getting more competitive. Hannah ultimately said goodbye to Connor J., Daron and Matt. That's all for now... stay tuned for next week!
