Chris Harrison has shared how it's going with The Bachelor's newest leading man, Matt James! In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, the show's host said he's excited for people to see James' season, which he had nothing but good things to say about.
Harrison calls James' Bachelor season "successful" so far
Harrison revealed that they're "in the middle of taping" the newest Bachelor season, and, as of now, things seem to be running smoothly! "It's the blueprint and the formula we used to shoot Clare [Crawley]'s season, and is working out perfectly," he told Entertainment Tonight's Lauren Zima. "I can tell you it's working, it's successful and -- knock on wood -- it'll continue to be successful."
James' season of the reality show is currently being filmed at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania, and will remain at the location due to the coronavirus pandemic. "It's going great. He is absolutely awesome," Harrison said of James. "I can't wait for people to see his season of The Bachelor."
Harrison talks Crawley's Bachelorette departure
Harrison's confidence in James' season of The Bachelor is a good sign, especially after the major shakeup underway on Crawley's season of The Bachelorette. That's because the producers realized they needed to bring in a new "Bachelorette" after Crawley fell in love with one of her potential suitors!
"We thought, 'Wow, this is really coming to a head quickly,'" Harrison told Entertainment Tonight last month of the unprecedented situation. "I think our first thought was, 'Well, this will continue on and it'll ebb and flow like normal seasons,'" he continued, "but when we realized there was only ebb and no flow, we thought, 'We need to look at what we are gonna have to do.'"
As Entertainment Tonight mentions, a new promotional spot for this week's episode of The Bachelorette confirms the months-long speculation that Tayshia Adams will in fact be taking over from Crawley! We look forward to seeing how the new seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette will play out, as they're shaping up to be some of the most exciting ones yet!
