In The Bachelor franchise, "anything can happen" and something big did! Bombshell Tayshia Adams is going to be the new lead! Clare Crawley accidentally let the big news slip.
Tayshia Adams Replacing Clare Crawley As Lead Bachelorette
Fence jumping, flip-flopping, windmills, just when you thought you couldn't be surprised by The Bachelor franchise a lead is replaced before airing! Rumors have been swirling that Tayshia Adams would be replacing Clare Crawley as the lead and Clare herself has accidentally confirmed the news!
Clare Crawley was filming for the newest season in isolation to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic but a source told People that one of her suitors "found a way to get in touch with her and they began talking. By the time filming officially began, they were basically already in love. No one else stood a chance. It just became so obvious from her subsequent few dates that her heart wasn't in it and she just wasn't feeling it. Then she said she wanted out."
As fans know, the cast members are not allowed their phones during filming and yet suddenly Clare was back on Twitter barely a few weeks into filming and liked a Tweet about Tayshia being the new Bachelorette! Immediately fans caught on and Clare was quick to undo her like and left social media once again.
Tayshia was first introduced to BN on Colton Underwood's season where she made it to the top three before he broke up with her and the other runner up to pursue Cassia Randolph after she left the show. The two have recently split but seem to be on good terms.
Gorgeous and brilliant Tayshia was then on Bachelor in Paradise and pursued a super sweet relationship with fan-favorite John Paul Jones. The adorable couple announced their split last October. Tayshia had always had a big following due to her fun demeanor and her smooth and level headed way of reacting to drama on the show.
The Bachelor Alums React To Tayshia As The New Bachelorette
Tayshia's Ex Colton Underwood posted a hilarious Tweet referencing his famous kissing skills (or lack thereof). On Bachelor in Paradise Tayshia and a few other girls from his season commented that Colton was a bad kisser but "he got better by the end of the season... I think I'm a good teacher!" Tayshia joked.
Rachel Lindsay, who is the only other Black lead in The Bachelor franchise, told Entertainment Tonight that she is so excited for Tayshia. She said "I wanted to pave a way for more diversity, for more people who look like me and who didn't look like the typical lead. So to see another Bachelorette of color, I'm thrilled!"
We are so excited to see Tayshia on her new journey to find love! She is a perfect new lead! Good luck, Tayshia!
