Tayshia Adams has talked about returning to The Bachelorette with Kaitlyn Bristowe as her co-host! In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, last season's "Bachelorette" shared what it's been like to work with Bristowe during Katie Thurston's season, and revealed why she's in no rush to get married!
Adams says she and Bristowe are a "dynamic duo"
Adams said she was "shocked" after scoring the co-hosting gig, explaining that it came during "a very unprecedented time." Last season saw her take over from Clare Crawley, becoming the "Bachelorette" following Crawley's surprising exit a few episodes in. Longtime host Chris Harrison also stepped down from the franchise after apologizing for defending past contestant Rachael Kirkconnell's racist remarks.
When it comes to the bond between her and her new co-host for season 17, Adams said she and Bristowe "created this really fun dynamic duo that has never been done before." She also shared that they "provided strength behind Katie, and confidence," and gave her "a little clarity and comfort." However, Adams also called Thurston "a strong and confident woman who knows what she wants," saying that the new season is "gonna be good."
Adams shares she's enjoying engaged life in New York
Adams also brought up the fact that she and Bristowe also have something else in common besides being former "Bachelorettes"— they're both currently engaged! Last season of The Bachelorette ended with Adams saying "yes" to Zac Clark after he proposed, which led to her moving to New York with him. Meanwhile, Bristowe and her longtime beau Jason Tartick became engaged last week.
While Adams said she "just had a feeling" Bristowe was going to be engaged soon, and the two co-hosts "have been talking about wedding stuff since we were filming," she shared why she's not rushing to walk down the aisle! "Zac and I have a while and I'm sure wedding planning will start sometime soon," she told Entertainment Tonight, saying she's "just getting my feet wet" in New York City.
